Introduction: Knowing your saber

Hilt 
Often made from metal
Blade 
Made from Poly-carbonate
Blade Tip
Fastened securely

If the blade is divided into 3 equal parts:

Last Third
The 1/3 furthest from the blades hilt just before the tip
Middle Third
The 1/3 is the section between the first and the last
Closest Third
The section in contact with the hilt and is nearest the hands.
Balance Point
Is the point on which the entire saber will balance horizontally
on your hand and is roughly equal to 1/3 the length of the entire saber
Emitter
Mouth of the saber or where the blade meets the hilt
LED
The light that illuminates the blade, often housed in the hilt just below the emitter
Retention Screw
These can be found near the emitter of the hilt and must be tight and secure
Neck
The section just below the emitter and retention screws also called a choke point.
Activation switch
The button the ignites the saber
Pommel
The base of the hilt opposite of the emitter always make sure it is secure.
